About DoubleObsession

What is DoubleObsession? We tried to answer that once, some of you may recall:

Double:1. adjective, having two parts 2. adverb, twice over 3. noun, something twice as much
Obsess:verb, to occupy or engage the mind of (someone) to an inordinate degree

from The New Lexicon Webster’s Dictionary of the English Language, 1988 edition

That was in November of 2002. Times have changed, we have grown, but one thing still holds true: obsession is a dangerous thing.

DoubleObsession was once a storehouse for Michelle & Rosalinda’s Journey fiction, created to house a little story that took off like wildfire. More stories were added, and the place was on fire. Literally. For every kind email we received, there was a matching WTF flameball waiting for one of us in the inbox.

And then we found television. From the ashes of the Perry fandom wars, DoubleObsession rose, soaring over the orange tinted Miami skyline, skimming along a certain orange hairline. For awhile, the music was silent, save the screams of one Roger Daltrey, and all was right with the world. Screencaps were posted, LiveJournal icons were created, and the call to update HTML faded along with the music.

Now? The music is back, along with an old friend, fresh back from his trip to a long lost crystal planet. And they’ve brought other friends along to play, as soon as we can coax them out of hiding. It’s been a long, crazy trip, but once you give in to the monster, there’s no turning back. After all, obsession is a dangerous thing.
